The Copper Kings and the Casa Grande Cotton Kings faced off on Friday and each took away one win to stay tied (10 - 4) at the top of the Pacific Southwest Baseball League standings. Saturday's games may have ended with a different result, but only three innings were played before the monsoon rains shut down the park for the evening. Both games were real pitchers duels with final scores of 14 - 13, Bisbee winning the first, Casa Grande the second. In the first game Cody Downing went 5 1/3 and gave up only 2 runs. The relievers managed to give up 11 more with 6 walked batters scoring 5 runs. The Cotton Kings relievers' were no better though and Bisbee pulled it out in the bottom of the 9th with 3 RBI's on a Taylor Stone double with 2 out. The second game was a mirror image of the first. The Cotton Kings scored 3 in the ninth and put 7 of 10 walks across the plate during the game. On Wednesday the Tucson Orioles visited and put up a good contest. The final was 13 - 10 Kings, once again with lots of walks by the relief pitching. Tyler Berg hit his 8th homer of the season and the hitting was good all around.
