On Wednesday the Baseball International Group team from Tucson brought along a better team and kept the Kings to 10 runs against their 3. Kevin Sartain was the winning pitcher for the Kings with support from Kaleb Brawner (2 RBI's), Dominic Gamboa (3 hits and 3 runs), Will Campbell (2 hits, 1 run and 4 stolen bases) along with the rest of the team.
In Friday night's first game the Tucson KFC went down to the Kings 10 - 6. Michael Morales turned in a stellar win with 11 strikeouts and only 3 earned runs. Offensive help came from Gamboa (3 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBI's), Omar Villar (2 hits and 2 runs) and Tyler Berg nailed a 2 run homer and batted in 2 more on another hit.
The second game was a 16 - 1 win by the Copper Kings. Will Campbell scored 3 on 3 hits with 2 RBI's, Taylor Stone added 3 runs (2 hits, 1 RBI) and Carlos Martinez had 2 hits and 2 runs. Tyler Johnston notched the win and fanned 6 KFC batters.
Saturday's games were classic Kings fare with a 16 - 4 triumph in the first game, and a 14 - 4 victory in the second. Ryan Canak won the first with 5 KO's, Stone batted in 5 on 2 hits and 4 runs, Berg added another 4 RBI's on 3 hits and Sterling Schuller knocked in 2 more on 2 hits. In game 2 Taylor Stone pitched for the win with 5 strikeouts. Carlos Martinez scored 3 on 2 hits, Schuller added a 2 run homer, Kaleb Brawner scored 2 and added 3 hits (5 hits and 4 runs total on the night) and Dominic Gamboa knocked in 4 including a 2 RBI double in the fifth that opened up an otherwise close game.
